Bog Plants
Bog plants are planted on the first shelf in your pond or around the outside edges of your pond. Bog plants are nice for easing the transition from your pond to your exsisting landscape. Like all pond plants bog plants use the extra nutrition in your pond for a food source, helping to then control algae growth. Bog plants are easy to plant just plant them right in your pond's gravel, or in pot's full of clean topsoil. Bog plants thrive in a planting depth of 2" to 4" inches of water. Do not plant them any deeper than this or they will die. These plants are winter hardy and will come back year after year.
