At pond plants for sale.com we stock a very large selection of high quality koi fish for your water garden. Including Japanese and domestic koi, select koi, butterfly koi, and standard koi. We Ship Fed-Ex next day air on all of our pond fish direct to your door. Live arrival is guaranteed. All fish ordered Mon-Thu during the week will ship next day air for the following day. You should be present upon delivery, so the fish can be unpackaged rather quickly. Shipping costs for next day delivery is a flat rate of $14.50 per box no matter where you are in the country. You will not find a lower shipping rate for live fish anywhere else on the internet.
We do recommend that you be home the day your koi fish arrive as you will be required to sign for them. On the very rare occasion that there is a loss in shipment all you have to do is take a digital image of the dead fish and we will send you out some new fish upon verifying your claim. You will be sent a tracking number as soon as your koi fish ships out so you can plan to be home to receive them. We buy our pond fish from some of the best breeders here in the United States, and Japan. All of our koi fish are checked for disease once per week and are quarantined for two weeks when we get them in. We only sell very healthy colorful large koi fish, with sizes starting at 3" to 4" inches and up to 8" to 10" inches. Fish smaller than 3" to 4" inches will tend to hide in your pond, making it hard for you to enjoy them. So we do not sell fish smaller than 3" to 4" inches.

Japanese Koi

Koi are the kings of all pond fish and the reasons are quite simple, no other pond fish can match their size or coloration. These beautiful fish can reach an adult size of 36"inches in nature and require larger ponds with very good filtration in order to stay in great condition. These pond fish come in many different colors and color patterns which lead to their immense popularity. There are two different quality grades for these fish including standard quality and select quality koi. Standard quality koi are the mutts of the fish world which by no means is a bad thing. These fish are just bred with multiple colored fish and not pure breed fish like the select koi.
The great thing about standard koi is because of the mixed breeding you can get some very neat color variations with these fish that you will not find in the select quality fish. This makes them very popular with most home owners. Select quality fish follow pure breed standards and coloration. These Fish often have better crisp color patterns and deep vivid color with perfect body conformation. These fish grow to be simply gorgeous and are the most sought after pond fish.
