Submerged Pond Plants
Submerged pond plants are a must have in any pond or water garden. They compete directly with the algae in your pond for nutrients, keeping your water garden clean and clear. The amount of plants you should use depends on the size of your pond. For example a 4' x 6' to 6' x 6' pond, would need 10 submerged plants planted on the ponds bottom. Sizes 8' x 8' to 8' x 11' should use 25 plants. 11' x 11' to 11' x 16' should use 50 plants. Ponds 16' x 16' would need up to 75 plants planted throughout the ponds bottom.
